This mid-century modern project features water-wise minimalist landscape design with hardscaping and patio design set up for entertainment and outdoor living, complete with a jacuzzi patio, fire pit and conversation seating area, grill and outdoor dining table. There are a variety of materials like pavers, stone, pebbles, grass, wooden decks,  and concrete to give each section of the yard a sense of delineation, privacy, and unique use.

Imagine stepping into a scene from a fairy tale, where everything is harmonious, vibrant, and flourishing. True magic happens when nature and creativity collide, crafting an enchanting transformation that is more than just a garden- it is a living, breathing masterpiece.  Take a moment to appreciate these transformation images; with a little coaching and support, our dear client's garden has been metamorphosed into an edible paradise and children's haven to boot. The space is not only full of pollinator plants, fruit tree guilds, sprinklings of herbs and veggies, but also includes generous gathering and play areas throughout.  As if that were not enough, this incredible client not only designed and built the cutest duck/chicken coop, but managed to also create a functioning babbling creek and waterfall that meanders through the length of the yard- a true haven for the kiddos, ducks, and chickens to all enjoy!  To watch this space evolve and to see our shared vision come to life better than we ever dreamed of is nothing short of inspiring!

Front and backyard refresh that honors the Spanish/ranch Mediterranean style architecture of this property in sunny Palos Verdes. We used climate-appropriate drought-tolerant plants for a water-wise landscape while offering this client a beautiful low-maintenance solution to their tired landscape. We enjoyed playing with diverse textures in the hardscape materials, from slate pavers to pea gravel and concrete.
